Pucho Web Solutions Raffle Winner

Lucky Raffle Winner, Kimio Wheaton
Pucho Web Solutions participated in first ever Holiday Raffle at Japanese-Americans, Japanese in America (JAJA) December 2013 meeting in New York City. The lucky winner, Kimio Wheaton, will receive expert guidance, from Pucho Web Solutions, in setting up website traffic reporting which will give him valuable information to optimize his online business. Kimio plans to use his prize with a new web site he is currently planning for a 2014 debut.

This year, Japanese-Americans, Japanese in America (JAJA) raised over $500 through first-ever raffle and book sales. Prizes were contributed by members that reflected their personal talents, skills and passions. Fifty percent of proceeds will help keep JAJA afloat. Twenty five percent of the funds will be donated to Japan's 3/11 tsunami recovery and rebuilding (Tomodachi Initiative) and the remaining Twenty five percent to recording and preserving local Nikkei history (NYU A/P/A Institute's documentation of Suehiro Restaurant, 1919-1977). The project is just starting and more information will be available in 2014.

Last month, I offered the idea of raffling a prize from Pucho Web Solutions to generate a contribution for JAJA operations, and this offer expanded to become part of a larger raffle including many JAJA prize donors.

In spite of a snowy rain storm on day of event, there was an unprecedented amount of participation from so many members including:

  • Holiday Chorus Singers
  • Raffle Donors
  • Gift Holiday Donors
  • Food Committee Members
  • Host and hostesses

Back in March 2011, I produced the Love Japan video in collaboration with her too. Donna Tsufura founder of "The Dayako."

Japanese-Americans, Japanese in America (JAJA) is a grassroots community of people of Japanese ancestry living in the New York City area interested in sharing experiences of living in America and creating and fulfilling personal and career projects and goals that express our experiences, heritage and history.  JAJA was founded in 2004 by Stann Nakazono, Donna Tsufura and Jennifer Takaki and now has over 300 members from diverse backgrounds and professions. Our group meets once a month, often in a home setting. It is a potluck gathering usually with a special speaker or performance presentation followed by a community discussion. JAJA offers the opportunity to network and make new friends, and reconnect to Japan and our cultural heritage. More information of JAJA can be found on their Facebook group.

Pucho Web Solutions (PWS) offers web hosting, marketing and support services in Metro New York Service area. PWS is a participant in Google Analytics Partner Program. PWS provides rich content such as web vidoes, hybrid photography, slideshow, front end and server programming support.
