Chinese protest ABC, Disney and Jimmy Kimmel

On Saturday November 9, 2013 in Times Square from noon until 2PM there was a protest against ABC's Jimmy Kimmel show.

Protesters did not like use of comedy to bring up a dark subject that they took personally. They are so hurt and even afraid of passive aggressive violence from other members of society.

There is an old American Proverb that goes like:

Out of the mouths of babes (oft times come gems).

Children occasionally say remarkable or insightful things. For example: Mr. and Mrs. Doyle were quietly bickering in the kitchen when their seven-year-old daughter came in and said, "You guys should get counseling." After a surprised pause, Mrs. Doyle remarked, "out of the mouths of babes." Child: Don't eat so much candy, Mommy. Candy is bad for your teeth. Mother: out of the mouths of babes oft times come gems.

There were about 500 protesters at event. My photographs were picked up and published in Nov 16, 2013 edition of Epoch Times Newspaper and AsianConnections website.

Original clip which sparked controversy.

James Christian "Jimmy" Kimmel (born November 13, 1967) is an American, comedian, actor, voice artist, writer, television producer, singer, rapper and television host. He is the host and creator of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, a late-night talk show that airs on ABC. Prior to that, Kimmel was best known as the co-host of Comedy Central's The Man Show and Win Ben Stein's Money. Kimmel is also a television producer, having produced shows such as Crank Yankers, Sports Show with Norm Macdonald, and The Andy Milonakis Show.

In January 2003, Kimmel permanently left The Man Show to host his own late-night talk show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, on ABC.

Chinese Internet users came up with a rebuttal video in response to the 'Kill everyone in China" segment of Jimmy Kimmel's "Kids Table".

An episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live that aired on October 16 has so many Chinese and Chinese-Americans hurt after a satirical sketch called "Kids Table" had the idea that the US get rid of all people in China to get off the trillion dollar debt owed to China.

The segment at one point touches the topic of the money that the US owes China. When 6-year-old Braxton suggests that the US "kill everyone in China" to solve the problem. Kimmel then replies, "that's an interesting idea."

Jimmy Kimmel has already apologized but protesters have not accepted it yet.

    1. What do you say to Americans that a Chinese is calling for the elimination of the entire American population with nuclear weapons? Go to

to find out for yourself. That Chinese claimed wiping out the entire American population will make the world a better place, while you claimed you will make the world a better place after succeeding in your protest. Who is right?

  2. I believe your protest was misguided. You misunderstood Jimmy Kimmel's language as supporting the idea to kill all Chinese. Kimmel's words "that is an interesting idea" should be understood as an equivalent to "I respect your right to say so", which is a common talking strategy used daily by everybody encountering a bad idea. Kimmel should be understood like this because he has enlightened the kids in that America should pay the debts rather than killing anybody.

  3. My first reaction was to thank her for the generous gift, the box was luxurious and ornate; in case you can't make out what the box says above, it says it's from the Mandarin Oriental - ooh, how fancy. Click Through Here
